LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Leadership development is about turning potential into demonstrable performance. It’s about intentional actions that lead to intended outcomes targeted at present and future needs.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

People love to “talk” about leadership development, “talk” however is the pejorative word.  Sending a leader to a weeklong seminar, or conducting a series of lunch and learns “checks the box” and senior executives can’t figure out why they get no change, no growth, no return.  What’s even more amazing is that companies plan for growth, but rarely have anything in their growth plans to account for the need for more or different kinds of leaders.  One must wonder “do they really believe they can grow the way they plan,” or do they simply think “we can hire whatever we need.”  Either way, it’s easy to see why so many companies fail to successfully execute their plans!

Leadership development is about turning potential into demonstrable performance. It’s about intentional actions that lead to intended outcomes targeted at present and future needs.

ACKNOWLEDGING POTENTIAL

Executives that are successful leaders are the true advantage in today’s business world.  Note, that we said, “successful leaders.” We use that phrase intentionally.  We don’t see a “leader” as having anything to do with a box on the org chart.  Successful leadership is about the person and the what, how and why they do what they do.  Leaders have certain traits, such as a compelling vision, emotional intelligence, the ability to listen and inspire, and confidence in themselves and their ability to take risks.  Developing those traits is not done through week long learning events, lunch and learns or any other singular type activity.  Developing leadership is a process!

Leadership, for the most part, is learned skills and behaviors, and is certainly critical to any organization’s SUSTAINED success. This includes line supervisors, management and most significantly, the senior leadership team. Coaching, at the executive and management levels can be a rapid, personalized path to capacity-building. Blended, interactive training and facilitated learning sessions offer great development opportunities, but their value is rarely recognized if treated as one-off’s.  Remember, leadership development is a process!

LEARNING
LEADERSHIP

Virtually all demonstrable skills, including leadership and management are learned. Our facilitated learning sessions go beyond the stereotypical academic approach with a “trainer” at the front of the room.  We utilize dynamic, highly-interactive facilitation techniques, delivering real results from our training efforts.

Additionally, we believe training is best done in manageable bites, rather than a 2-3 day “forced march;” most of our content and work is done at a modular level, with single modules taking from 3-4 hours to complete, with built-in reinforcement mechanisms.

The BCA Leadership Development services increase the value of your people by enhancing skills, competencies, and confidence.  Our training processes are facilitative in nature, are highly interactive, challenging participants to apply new learning to their real-world environment.  Training methods often involve unique one-on-one video-recorded skill development with simulated role-play and group feedback. The results are immediate applications of enhanced skills and new behaviors back on the job.  Behavior changes are supported through built in sustainability processes.

SIMPLICITY | EXECUTION | RESULTS

Our unique value proposition is that we do all of the above balancing caring and compassion with directness and a sense of urgency.
